Embarking on a True adventure

by Friday, March 23, 2018

I’m racing to send this message to you as I’m about to embark on a true adventure.

My heart’s in my mouth, I’ve not slept for a week from anxiety, but I’m ticking off a big bucket list travel wish this week as I experience The True North and take on The Kimberley… with my kids.

I don’t know if I’m the worst or best Mum, but I’ve brought them along for this amazing adventure that I’ve long heard about and always dreamt of doing.

There’s been a record amount of rain this past season and for us travellers that means major waterfalls! I’ve been told ‘crocs don’t climb’.

Dear God, I hope that’s right, and that you enjoy coming along with us on the adventure. Fingers crossed!

This week, on Journeys To Come…

Podcast: Ireland!

After many years travelling, Tony Murphy returned home to Ireland. It was his passion for his native land, his ability to entertain and his love of people that developed into Munsterbus Tour Company, the company Tony founded. Tune in now.

Guest Traveller: 4W-Driving on Fraser Island
“Travelling outside of school holidays, we had the opportunity to move down for some beach-side camping. It was this part of the trip that really brought home the beauty of this magnificent island… Magnificent sunsets, gentle sounds of the ocean and the odd dingo howl.” To read the story, click here.

Ask The Concierge: InterContinental Wellington, New Zealand

“Wellington offers many fantastic sights and views to take home as photographic memories to show family and friends. For the perfect panoramic shot, head up to the top of Mt. Victoria and take in the view of the harbour and the city skyline.” Read the story here.

Come Fly With Me: Los Angeles

“It would be fair to say that I had a preconceived prejudice against the city; after all wasn’t it all a façade with no real substance or soul, a maze of freeways with people imprisoned in their cars for hours, sleazy Hollywood producers preying on young wannabe actresses…? … I was wrong. It turns out LA is brimming with substance.” Read it here.
