I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard me whinge about my hair (it’s loud and often). I just don’t have the gift of multiple follicles and I don’t think I’ve ever grown out of baby hair – it’s just so darn fine! My dilemma is further increased as I have to do my own hair and makeup for Getaway, no hair team for me up on Machu Picchu, so I’m always eager to learn from the experts.

Enter Kieran Street! He worked on my hair for this Marie Claire shoot using products I’ve not sampled before, transforming me into a mini Barbarella. Ok, a mini Barbarella with short hair. But I thought some of my hair challenged buddies may enjoy Kieran’s cheat sheet. Let me share…

I’ve not used a hair primer before, but I know Bumble and Bumble are fab. The surefire winning product though was the Nioxin Diaboost Thickening Xtrafusion Treatment. I know you can get this off the internet (I just checked, sign me up, I live on a farm so I’ve no hope of buying it in a shop). Add to this round tongs – smaller seemed to be better for me, as we brushed it out after a tiny bit of a tease.
