A native of the city of Courbevoie, near Paris, Enrica Lotti proudly looks after the front office at ROOM MATE ALAIN, a designer hotel in Paris. Of everything Enrica does in her varied role, she says above all she loves meeting and welcoming “in the warmest way, our beautiful guests”. Let’s meet this charming Parisienne…

Enrica Lotti.
Her favourite locale when enjoying a day off
I like to go to the area known as Opera, in the Boulevard Haussmann area. There are many nice restaurants and pubs there.
Where she takes her own guests when they visit
When someone comes to visit me, I take them to the Eiffel tower (7th district), Champs-Elysées (8th district), Montmartre (18th district). I also take them to Le Marais and Grands Boulevards areas.
It’s a rainy day but we want to explore, what we should do
You can visit the Louvre museum, or visit the Louis Vuitton factory.
Her recommendations for night-time entertainment
For night-time entertainment, you can go to the Moulin Rouge, the Lido or Paradis Latin, or just have a drink in an Irish pub maybe with live music. That’s what I love.
Phrases visitors should learn
Bonjour – Hello, Merci – Thank you, Pardon – Sorry, S’il vous plait – Please, “et… Je t’aime” – I love you.
The best shopping and souvenirs
There are many souvenir shops around rue de Rivoli or Saint Michel areas where you can buy some small Eiffel Towers, or sweets with the writing “Paris”.
A child-friendly thing to do or place to go
I enjoy discovering exhibitions, attending conferences, playing on the ground or/and watching people dancing at La Villette.
Her best-kept secret or favourite hidden treasure
It is Le Bois de Vincennes.
The best way to get to the airport
The best way to get to the airport is to book a shuttle service.
Best time of the year to visit
I recommend the spring season as the weather is good to enjoy strolling the streets of Paris; dancing and having great times on its rooftops; visiting its museums, such as the Louvre by night; and last but not least, it’s the perfect time to reconnect oneself to Nature.
Anything else we should know when visiting
When in Paris, please do not be a tourist, live as a local.
