If you’re dreaming about a country adventure, here’s some inspiration. Sarah Wilson from Love thy Farmer shares 10 reasons to visit Wee Waa in New South Wales.

  1. Visit the Auscott cotton gin and discover the amazing journey cotton takes from the field to the shirt on your back.
  2. Grab morning tea at the Wee Waa Bakery and eat it in the beautiful gardens on Rose Street (Wee Waa’s best kept secret).
  3. Pick up some gorgeous homewares and browse the fashion at PJ’s Country Wares.
  4. Buy a fresh juice and a delicious lunch (menu changes daily) at Palmer’s Market.
  5. Step back in time at the Namoi Echo Museum and discover the region’s rich farming history.
  6. Find a lovely gift, toy or even a pair of Italian shoes at Wee Waa Newsagency (so much more than a newsagency!).
  7. Find a shady spot at Ludowici Park while the kids ride their bikes or scooters.
  8. Head to Marinda Nursery for some green therapy and a great coffee.
  9. Grab a cool drink, like local beer The Welder’s Dog, and a great pub feed at the historic Imperial Hotel.
  10. After dark, head out to Burren Junction artesian bore baths and see the stars like never before.
